We are delighted to announce that Storage Solutions in Porirua, Wellington has been awarded the coveted 'FACILITY OF THE YEAR' for Australia and New Zealand 2009/10.
Storage Solutions has won the prestigious Self Storage Association of Australasia 'Facility of the Year' award for 2009/10.
2008 saw Storage Solutions win the 'Best Expansion/Upgrade' award and 2009 sees Storage Solutions win the coveted Facility of the Year making it 2 in a row! Manager Fiona Gilbert was also a finalist for the 'Manager of the Year'.
The field for this years Self Storage Association Awards was one of the strongest ever. Storage Solutions competed against facilities from each state in Australia as well as all of New Zealand. It was not just the innovative design and construction that impressed the judges, but also our business model. Customer interviews and mystery shopping results showed an exceptional level of customer service.

About Us
Everything we do at Storage Solutions, we do to provide our customers with ‘that little bit extra’. We are committed to providing excellent service and to treat our customers with the care and respect that they deserve. We understand that customers are not storing ‘stuff’, but in most cases they are storing personal possessions and in some cases with real sentimental value. We have taken great care and gone to great lengths to ensure that you our customers have all the latest in self storage building techniques giving you the best possible purpose built self storage facility to store your goods in. To provide easy access for our customers, all our units have been designed so you can either drive directly to your door or for our internally located units it’s a short walk down a clean, dry, well lit corridor with the furthest unit being 11.5 metres from the entrance. This saves having to cart your goods from dockways to your unit, which at some facilities, can be quite some distance away and sometimes on another floor! The extra convenience we provide can save you a great deal of time, effort and if paying removalists, a great deal of money!

Office Hours
 
Storage Solutions is open Monday to Saturday from 9am until 5-30pm. During these hours Fiona, Roger or Tony will be available to provide you with any information you may require and assist you with all of your storage needs. For your convenience and because we have owner/operators that live on site, appointments can be arranged on Sundays and outside of business hours. We understand that most people work during the day, so to provide ‘that little bit extra’, we try to make ourselves as available to customers as possible.

Storage Solutions is a member of the Australasian Self Storage Association (SSAA) and use this association to help us to give our customers the best possible service through trained professional staff that abide by the (SSAA) code of ethics.
Storage Solutions is also a member of Business Porirua which again provide us with valuable information and training, this helps us give our customers up to date information and quality service.
24 Hour 7 Day Access
You can access your unit 24 hours, 7 days a week! Yes, anytime of the day or night using your own personal prox card, for any enquiries the office is open from 9am until 5-30pm Monday-Saturday. Full 24/7 Security
At Storage Solutions we have the latest in security features including digital camera surveillance, full security fencing and lighting. The units are individually alarmed and monitored with you padlocking your own unit and keeping the key. Entry and exit is by prox card which opens the gate on your way in disarming your unit and on exit rearming your unit, all of these transactions are recorded, along with all alarms being monitored by Chubb security NZ.
Storage Solutions believes it has one of the most secure self storage facility available in the Wellington region and the added extra security of on site resident mangers that can respond to any queries at a moments notice. In the event of the managers being absent from the site Chubb NZ will respond to any alarms sending security gaurds if required.
Flexible Terms - Short Or Long
Our self storage hire agreements are very flexible! You can hire your unit for one day or indefinitely. Self storage units vary in size from 1.5 x1.5m up to 3.0 x 8.8m with larger warehouse/ workshop units also available. You can change your unit size whenever you like. Rates will be calculated on a daily basis.
Payment Options
Its easy! You can pay using Cash, Cheque, Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard at our office or by automatic payment from a nominated bank account we also have an online payment option. A $30.00 deposit is required and is refunded on the completion of the agreement. Storage hire is payable monthly in advance and is calculated on a daily basis when moving out.
